Title IX
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded
from participation in,
be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to
discrimination or sexual harassment under any education program
or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
All members of the school community (EOC CHS Board, employees
of YPIC, faculty, school staff, school volunteers, parties under
contract to perform work at or for the EOC CHS, vendors, students
and family members) are required to conduct themselves at all
times in a manner that provides an atmosphere free from sexual
harassment. Any member of the school community who engages in
sexual harassment or sexual violence while participating in school
programs or activities (on campus or off campus), will be in
violation of the school’s Title IX Policy and subject to disciplinary
action.
Sexual Harassment consists of unwelcome or inappropriate sexual
advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical
conduct of a sexual nature when made by a member of the school
staff to a student or another staff member, or by a student to
another student or staff member.
Anyone who is subject to sexual harassment or who knows of the
occurrence of such conduct MUST inform a staff member, their
immediate supervisor or Administration (the Title IX Complaint
form may be utilized). All matters involving sexual harassment
complaints will remain confidential unless disclosure is required by
law or is determined to be necessary to the implementation of
school’s Title IX Policy.
