Mission

At EOC Charter High School we welcome students to a safe, caring and supportive environment; we provide a relevant, high-quality education and prepare our diverse at-risk student body for future endeavors.

Teachers

Teachers will use effective instructional formats and be evaluated continuously throughout the teaching experience. Teachers will develop strong relationships with students by providing a high support environment.

Who We Serve

The high school primarily serves Yuma County students that are between the ages of 16 and 21 seeking to recuperate high school credit at a quicker pace.

Seeking Public Comments - Parent Involvement Policy

The school is currently seeking public input to revise the Parent Involvement Policy in order to comply with the new regulations defined by House Bill 2035 which seeks to revise sections 15-102, 15-113 and 15-711 of the Arizona Statutes . Any individual or organization may submit written comments to bgrossenburg@ypic.com regarding any content of the Parent Involvement Policy. Written comments will be accepted up until 4:00 pm on August 31, 2022. Contact Brian Grossenburg, principal, at 928-329-0990 ext 4111 for further information or questions. Arizona's Parental Rights Handbook

During the 2020 Arizona Legislative Session, the Legislature passed Senate Bill 1061 which went into effect on August 25, 2020. The new statute requires the Arizona Department of Education to establish and post a statutory handbook of parental rights.

Additionally, per statute, each school district and charter school is required to post a link to this parental rights handbook on its website.

Seeking Public Comment_Career Development Curriculum, STEM Exploration Curriculum and Curriculum to Support the Education and Career Action Plans

The Board of the Educational Opportunity Center Charter High School is seeking comments from the community at this time on adding curriculum to elective courses in the areas of Career Development, STEM Exploration, Curriculum to Support the Education and Career Action Plans. The vendor The Center for the Future of Arizona has requested a review. The board makes no promises or guarantees that the curriculum will be adopted, however is seeking comments from the public in regards to the curriculum. The board will make a decision on the curriculum no sooner than 60 days from this posting.
